Gibson's Palin interview w/be 3 interviews - part of a massive PR weeklong rollout on TV only -
Edited on Thu Sep-11-08 12:31 PM by cyberpj
Gibson is having three separate interviews with Palin, ABC said. Parts of the interviews will be spread around other ABC news programs, including "Nightline" and "Good Morning America."

The prime-time special, at 10 p.m. EDT, will also include a bio of Palin by ABC's Kate Snow and a round-table discussion on the presidential race moderated by George Stephanopoulos.

The Alaska Republican has proven to be a ratings-grabber during her short time on the national political scene. Her speech to the GOP national convention last week was seen by more than 40 million people, according to Nielsen Media Research.

A Fox News Channel documentary, "Governor Palin: An American Woman" last Saturday was the highest-rated prime-time documentary in the network's history, with 2.7 million viewers.

CNN is also planning a Palin special this weekend.

2. This situation needs more than that - it's totally rigged and unfair politics; should be called out!
I hope the Obama campaign demands equal time.

10. Thanks, at least you tried.
This is abc's answer to those who didn't think they were fair in their debate questions to Obama. In your face.

7. I guess Palin can't play with the boys after all
A heartbeat away from the Presidency and we have a so-called "tough" person who can't cut it and face down an interview without puff piece nonsense...

Palin can't cut it. Palin is scared. Palin is not ready.

I hope it fails epically. How many times are people going to listen to her parrot the same lines over and over again? I know I won't be turning it on.

12. Good. The cries for her to take REAL questions will get louder. She'll start
to look like she's unable to "meet the press."

20. She HAS gotten a pass so far, but everyone in the media kept talking about her
upcoming "interview" with Charlie Gibson as if this would be the frst "real" interview. I'm SURE if it's a fluff-piece, the others in the media WILL start criticizing her for not taking real questions.

17. Typical Gibson fucking bullshit
Remember what he tried to do to Obama in the primary debates---even got booed by the crowd and torn to pieces in the press. I knew the minute I heard he was doing this interview that this was going to be something out of the Nazi propaganda unit. Charlie doesn't care. He's in their pocket and damn proud of it. It in essence means that Joe gets one debate and Sarah gets to babble from prepared remarks while Charlie fawns. This is goddamn bullshit. We have a Dept. of Propaganda in this country.

22. Chris Cillizza-"She'll have to prove herself yet again that she can do more than give a speech...
Everyone, including Barack Obama and Joe Biden, I think, will be watching very closely." He was talking about Palin's upcoming "interviews tonight and tomorrow night." :eyes:
