WTF is wrong with everyone here?
Edited on Thu Sep-11-08 06:39 AM by PCIntern
Two bags of flags leave the DNC and the Rethugs get 36 hours of free outrage before they're called on it and they say...ooops.

This guy McCain obstructs justice, covers up for DRUG ABUSE AND ILLEGAL THEFT OF DRUGS FROM A CHARITY FOR GOD'S SAKE, and everyone HERE says...oh, it's nothing.

I call BULLSHIT - this is WHY WE LOSE. You want President Palin, then just say no to these kinds of stories. Anyone here think they're going to find the Senator with a gun in his hand, robbing Fort Knox? Give me a frigging break.

On edit: I'm sick of this stupidity and we're going to wind up spending the next 4 years here wringing our hands and saying why oh why weren't we more aggressive. Fuck that.

2. NO..don't "DU a poll" on a BS website...
SEND THIS STORY OUT TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW...HAMMER IT HOME DURING YOUR WORK AND PLAY.

Get it out there and say things to people in shopping lines, in baseball and football stadia, and stop whining and pretending like we're the higer-minded people. I say hit 'em hard and harder. We only have a few days before the BS will stick to Obama and there won't be enough time to shed the skin. The MSM, if you haven't noticed, is already saying t henigs like "The problem with Obama's campaign is balh blah blah."

Get the hell to work and start beating these people up,,,

9. Correct, just don't it. It's time to get busier instead.
Imo allot does have to do with Obama however. I'm tired of watching Dems *civilize* and *take the road* to every hamlet in the shrieking world. Not every hamlet is on the high raod...some are at the bottom of valleys. Obama needs to start pressing those buttons back. McCain got his 90sec's at ground zero as a for instance just this morning...where was Barack?

I could tell everyone in some line somewhere from here to the fields where hay & alfalfa are bailed and dropped on the ground but when it is all said and done this is Barack Obama's run for the presidency, yes? The short of it is that you're damn right it's time to get busy. The short of that may be that "busy" resides at the top too.

3. It's pretty amazing, isn't it?
A story like this about the Obama's would have the right wingers foaming at the mouth with outrage! It would be the top story on all news networks, and the headline in every newspaper.

If a Senator uses his office to cover up a drug crime, it's BIG, folks. Especially when that Senator is running for the top office in the nation.

GET YOUR PANTIES IN A WAD, DEMS.

4. I think it sux...
and I think that those who are minimizing stuff like this play right into the GOP hands...what is wrong with promoting a SCANDAL. That's what it is...it's a SCANDAL. It's not a story...it's a SCANDAL.

That word has such a nice ring...

5. A drug and abuse of power scandal.
And a little doping up the kids scandal. Spread it far and wide!

6. but it's TRUE...
It's horrendous: Picture the Headline if the show were on the other foot:

"(Democrat) obstructs justice in investigation of wife's drug abuse"

7. Not to mention the old rumors
that she brought back the kids to try to cover her drug abuse. In other words, because the girls had medical problems, Cindy would be able to cover her own pill usage by using the kids to obtain more drugs.

Then there was the DEA investigation in which, although Cindy has acknowledged her drug abuse, she was never charged.

And why did Cindy even start the AVMT? Because the Keating Five scandal broke and it was the way the McCain's tried to rehab their image. btw, I've always thought it was pretty fucking funny that Cindy started AVMT to rehab their image but ended up in rehab herself.

8. I'm with you on this.
Just as I'm equally infuriated by the policy of charging for rape kits which Palin implemented in Wasilla. I started a thread requesting that everyone e-mail the McClatchy article to all women they knew. I had no responses the last time I checked. It may have been a local policy but it essentially a way that prevented justice from being available to poor women.

10. We lose because we don't understand the game. We think 'the game' is a game...
It isn't 'a game' in the least, it's Rollerball, Jonathan. It's not an excuse to vent your spleen, your ego, get some recs, play to your peanut gallery full of adoring fans, get a DUzy, write some memoirs at the age of 35, shoot some moose, bury people beneath mountains of pissy puter chips with one hand stuffed in a bag of Cheetos, pooh-pooh the the very nose your face, etc, etc, etc...

No. It's not a game at all, it's only played as though it is. The net result of so little appreciation with respect to the seriousness of 'the game' is death & chaos. If this were a proper game played in a Sound Of Music valley filled with hamlets as though a rolling quilt stitched with greens and harvest colors there'd be little birds in these trees singing, chirping and hopping from branch to branch...

These trees are black, twisted, and filled with carrion caw. Only a simpleton sings happy songs down this road.

It's time to get busier.

11. Just rejecting the MsSame drug story out of hand is stupid
Exactly! The same kind of aggressive push the right would put on it will make it have legs. Sitting here and demanding real proof like decent Dems and treating MsSame fairly. It's how they use the Dems' virtue against them. They are shameless and would push this story in the reversed circumstances.
