Who was that Miller gal on Larry King tonight?
It seems her claim to fame is that her dad ran with Goldwater. I'll admit to not watching a lot of cable "news", but holey cow was she lame! I even voted for her dad, well actually Barry, but don't really remember her father. Is this like marching out a Kennedy?

1. Stephanie Miller.
I didn't see Larry King tonight, but she's a good Dem and usually rocks on his show. She does the morning show on AAR. What was your problem with her?

3. She just seemed to be unprepared and didn't really speak up
maybe it's not her venue.

16. She's a regular guest on larry king, dan abrams etc
and she's great at it. Very funny and insightful. That's why she gets invited time and time again.

Didn't watch today but at worst it was an off night for her.

2. Are you talking about Stephanie Miller?
While I didn't see her tonight, I have to say that she's anything but lame.

4. I don't know, I guess that's who it was
Edited on Thu Sep-11-08 12:48 AM by ben_meyers
She just seemed to be living off of her dad's legacy as a VP candidate and had nothing else to say, or no real reason to be there.

7. She's extremely well-informed and has a sharp wit.
Check out her radio program, sometime. She's a lot of fun to listen to. Toward the end of her second hour, she usually has on some pretty good guests. And I can guarantee you that she doesn't attempt to live off of her dad's legacy, as you put it.

With the Google, and the Yahoo, and the Flaven.

8. As a Goldwater voter, it is not surprising you want to diss Stephanie Miller.

She mentioned her father's VP run once, yet you pretend that is all she said. You are really way too transparent, ya know.

(fix tiny typo)

9. And who did you vote for in '64
Edited on Thu Sep-11-08 01:37 AM by ben_meyers
The party of war? Goldwater said either finish the war right or get the hell out. The Democrats at the time were pussy footing around and killed almost 50,000 of my brothers. Are you saying that JFK/LBJ were doing it right? Or maybe you aren't old enough to remember.

10. I was young but not stupid. I already had enough sense to know that the Republicans were
party of war and mass murder. It took a bit longer to see why. You may have wanted to see Vietnam nuked. but that ideology was not something I would align myself with. I voted for Johnson and then joined the resistance movement against the Military Industrial Complex and took to the streets chanting "Hey, Hey LBJ. How many kids did you kill today?" And many other things. What did you do to act against that slaughter? Nothing? Whine about the inconvenience they caused you? Spit on them? Write a letter?

13. Actually I was busy in the late '60's
trying to stay alive. 1968 when I should have been in the streets of Chicago, some of us were still mopping up after Tet, we didn't even hear about King for almost a month after he was shot. Weird times they were.

14. Living Apocalypse Now was surely wierd, to describe it in the mildest way.
Do you still regard the Vietnamese resistance fighters as things that should have been "mopped up?"

11. Her show is better than her LK appearances.
She works better with sound effects and sound clips.

15. She's a good friend of KO's and she's
on our side. I saw the last half of Larry King and thought she did OK.

17. She's been on vacation this week
so probably isn't as "up" on the current goings-on as she usually is. And she probably only had 1 box of wine before going on the show. (inside joke if you listen to the show)
