While the ad is funny it doesn't help the Democratic Party in a close election.

Palin is a decoy. By putting her on the ticket the fact that John McCain got an F- rating from the Gun Owners of America in 2004 and 2006 and only a C+ from the NRA in 2004 is disguised. He's no friend of gun owners. Palin will help him gain their vote in the upcoming election. Why help him out?
