WASILLA -- A small group of Barack Obama supporters went deep into unfriendly territory, demonstrating in Sarah Palin's hometown.

They marched up and down a well-traveled highway Wednesday, chanting slogans and holding signs like: "8 years is enough" and "Obama! Believe" in support of the Democratic candidate for president.

Palin, the running mate of Republican presidential candidate John McCain, was not in town for the demonstration.

She's been on the campaign trail but planned to attend a rally later Wednesday in Fairbanks, her first return trip to the state since being named McCain's surprise pick for vice president on Aug. 29.

their friends were hit with buckets of water by rednecks down here. it lead to jail time for the idiots that did it. it was damned, damned cold that day.
