Popular Mechanic Gaffe?
Is this MSNBC analyst crazy? She said that the Republicans could go after Obama about his Popular Mechanic remark on Letterman.

I personally think that Obama shouldn't have elaborated on the subject but seriously, if they go after this life has truly turned into the Twilight Zone.

1. They will go after every comment, metaphor, allusion, simile, synecdoche...
...and bon mot, if they can turn it to their advantage, because they've simply got nothing else. They're like annoying children who mock their elders by repeating what they say in a sing-song voice.

2. She was being sarcastic and commenting on the absurdity of the possibility.

That next thing you know that could be the next absurd thing that McCain would complain about.

7. It'll be on Letterman tonight
Obama made a joke about how Palin has eclipsed his "celeb" status. SHe's on Time and Newsweek - he's reduced to Popular Mechanics.
