Biden On Debate Prep: I Won't Take Palin's Bait
Democratic vice-presidential nominee Joe Biden assured a crowd of donors in Lincoln Park Tuesday night that he would handle himself just fine in his debate with Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.

Democratic Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm has even agreed to spend several days with him as Palin's stand-in for him to practice, he said. But he said "we'll see" whether he takes her up on her offer.

"Folks, look, I know what she's going to try to do: she's going to try to make it as personal as she can. She's going to take a lot of straight lefts and jabs at me. She's going to try to get me to respond. She's going to try to get me to respond in a personal way," Biden said. "That's not my style. I'm not going to do it."

Biden will be fine, but he better come prepared with a lot of one-liners, zingers, and quick shots, because that's ALL Palin will bring to the table.

Palin doesn't have the experience or the explanation skills to handle a debate with Biden. Otherwise she'd be doing media events every day, instead of being educated by LIEbermann.

3. The Veep debate will be framed exactly like *'s presidential ones.
The expectations will be set so low, that as long as Palin doesn't drool or wet herself, she will be declared the winner by virtue of having done better than expected. Deja vu all over again.

8. I think the expectations are very low also
Plus we have the "babe" factor also.

Wow, she is a "babe" and she comes across as assertive. Wow. I predict she will be declared the winner, just for the ratings. It is unfortunate. She won't know anything outside of the standard talking points (and I don't really agree with Biden on much, but I think he knows what he is talking about, we just disagree), but if she can regurgitate enough, it will get her by. Unfortunate. If he is quick with answers though, it might throw her off her game, since the more questions she has to answer, the more she might flounder.

7. "Debate"? One liners on questions about flag pins and religion is a waste of time.
The US media has turned these events into a national joke. Whoever has the sharpest one liner or gotcha soundbite wins. The media will talk about clothes and hairdos and facial expressions. That's all that most 'muricans can understand.

11. This debate is the one America will really watch.
Because the presidential race has become Palin vs Obama/Biden (have you noticed how McCain just stands there while she does all the talking). Will she be wired like Bush? By the way, why didn't the media pursue Bush being wired? They all knew he was but said nothing----makes you wonder!

15. Biden taps Granholm as Palin stand-in for debate
Source: AP

Democrat Joe Biden has tapped Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm to be the stand-in for Sarah Palin as he prepares for next month's vice presidential debate. ...

...Biden said Granholm had agreed to spend four days with him to help prepare for the Oct. 2 debate in St. Louis. The Obama-Biden campaign asked for her assistance, and she was pleased to accept, Granholm spokesman Liz Boyd said Wednesday. ...

..."What I care about is what in God's name is she going to do _ along with John McCain _ about the thousands of people who don't have health care," those struggling with other economic problems, and the foreign policy challenges facing the country, Biden said.

and, funnily, Granholm's mild Canadian accent will be an asset, too (not that her voice isn't far prettier than Palin's - but the inflections will be somewhat the same).

I mean geez, Granholm is actually an intelligent woman AND she is the governor of a state that is like 20% larger than Alaska.

Can Jennifer knock off about 30 IQ points before she debates Biden so we get an idea of what Palin will really be like.

29. Democrats have no b...s
Democrats are running "again" a campaign like they
are running for president of elementary school. Take that
back they have more balls then the democrat party.

Next,, McCain will get Obama to apologize again for telling
the truth about McCain's nasty remarks about Hillary and
lipstick like they do every time they are attacked.

There is more at stake then a Democrat winning an election.
It is about democrats defeating a criminal enterprise which
has taken over our government and destroying our country.

Why in the h... didn't Obama pick Hillary for his VP pick ,
she has more balls then his whole campaign leaders..

I am sick of Obama and democrats talking about the taken the
high road , when they have to fight the republicans in the
gutter where they live.

McSame is a lying a..hole and has been for over 20 years and
it is time to call him what he is.
McSame has lied about being in bed with lobbyist , McSame has
lied about creating jobs for our county when he is actually
helping to send then overseas , where he has even told the
truth for once that they will never come back...

Kerry tired to take the high road when he was running for
president and look what it accomplished for him and the
democrats. A close enough race so the republicans could
steal another election.

This is not about Obama and McCain, and it is not about Bidden
and Plain. This is about Americans getting their country
back NOW from the republican criminal interprize>...

Republicans are going to run the clock out with lies , BS and
propaganda and the democrats are going to following them down
that road again until the November election.

Obama needs to get some balls and start attacking and stop
this weak defensive campaign policy..
Americans need their government back more than the democrats
saying that we are nice people , while the republicans
arrogantly laugh and spit in our face...

Doesn't anyone read about McCain's lies and deceit for over
his political career , his ties to criminals & lobbyist ,
his voting against or not even taking the time to vote for our
military health care , educational programs , better equipment
for them and his destruction of our jobs.

Democrats are easily lead astray by republican BS and lose
their focus on the main issues of our county and not debating
an Esquire magazine article traps set by the republicans.

You would do well to attack the media during the debate. When Gwen Ifill asks you or Palin some stupid question, turn to her and say

'Gwen, we only have one opportunity to debate. Why are you wasting your questions on such meaningless inside baseball issues. Skip ahead to the questions I presume you have related to the Economy, Health Care, Defense, etc. I'm sure Gov Palin is also interested is talking about the important issues?'

36. Biden needs only one 'ZINGER' - Is that all you are Sarah, just a bunch of snappy zingers
that's it, that's the only one.

Because 'Biden will be fine, but he better come prepared with a lot of one-liners, zingers, and quick shots' will only dumb down Biden to Sarah's level. And then we'll have a debate where all we do is out-zing each other and the facts won't be discussed
