Palin today repeats dubious line: "thanks but no thanks for that Bridge to Nowhere."

http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2008/09/10/1373247.aspx

From NBC/NJ's Matthew E. Berger and NBC's Mark Murray
FAIRFAX, VA -- At a huge rally here today, Palin once again repeated her line -- called misleading by non-partisan fact-checkers -- that she told Congress "thanks but no thanks for that Bridge to Nowhere."

As NBC's Lisa Myers reported on Nightly News last night, while Palin did put the final nail in the bridge's coffin, that came after she supported the bridge during her 2006 gubernatorial campaign and after Congress essentially killed the project once it became politically unpopular.

Also looks like folks are starting to get a little tired of "broken record" Palin:

CBS News: Palin's repeated zingers seem to be losing some luster

3. It's cause she doesn't know anything else.
She got a bunch of talking points from Grampy's henchmen, and is repeatedly flogging them until they run out of gas, then blowing a kiss to the audience, yelling "SNOWMOBILES! MOOSEBURGERS!" really loudly, then sprinting off the stage before anyone can ask her a real question.

6. Appropriate lyrics from song "Barracuda"
Palin likes to use the Heart song "Barracuda" as her theme song. Here's some appropriate lyrics from it:

"If the real thing don't do the trick
No, you better make up something quick"

I understand the song is actually about a lying sleazy record company executive.

----
I read that CNN this morning broadcast videotape of Palin endorsing the Bridge to Nowhere. Alaska is still building the approach road to the bridge, as we speak, using tens of millions of Federal money.

10. Palin at one time also faulted critics who used the term "Bridge to Nowhere"
Now that it is politically expedient, it is all hunky dory.

But the residents of "Nowhere" are not amused.
