I put up a post about McCain wanting to deregulate the insurance industry while giving a gimmicky tax break on insurance. This is a move that will ultimately drive up the cost of insurance just as the costs of every deregulated industry has gone up over the past 8 years. People will understand this. Talk to them about deregulation and their cable bills and the new equipment they need to buy and then draw a line between deregulation and profits for industry.

Someone else earlier pointed us to a LTTE he wrote in which he pointed to Palin's mockery of community service and noted that a governor walks into a ready made infrastructure to manage it while a community organizer must create the infrastructure. Find an example of community organization in your community that made a real difference and tell about the work that went into it.
