29. Just Disgusting
I glanced at the article to see that it was attacking the Palin children - really beyond the pale. (no specific reason for that metaphor).

I don't think this should be made into an issue.

I think we need to leave her family out of it. For one thing, I don't think it's right to attack her family. For another, I think it will backfire. Palin's family gets attacked, the sympathy factor goes up for her and we look bad (even if it isn't our fault). We waste time on stupid stuff like whether Trak or Bristol did coke, and we aren't talking about the issues that affect most Americans.

11. Ignore their fained outrage and move on.
Notice how Obama's comment was in reference to the GOP's record of the last 8 years and they immediately tried to change the subject back to Palin? Keep hitting them on the record of the last 8 years. That's what they desperately want to avoid.

How can she represent us if she can't even hold a press conference and take questions?

The idea that we would ever have a candidate running for the 2nd highest office in the land who has (publicly) announced that she can't handle an unscripted press conference and/or interview, particularly after DELIVERING such a cynical, sarcastic, and mean-spirited acceptance speech and likening herself to a "pit bull" and that nobody has called her out on it in the corporate media, seems massively surreal. Hopefully, Obama or somebody will do an ad about it but with her planning on giving an interview, albeit a highly "deferential" one to Charlie Gibson at the end of this week, the point may be moot. However, the fact that she waited so long without giving one and that it is only being done on HER (the McSame campaign's) might still make for a potent ad, particularly if somebody points out the absurdity of how she has had to be "tutored" prior to her "coming out" party. When has a candidate for VP or POTUS EVER had to be "tutored" to be prepared to assume the office of VP or POTUS beyond perhaps a few classified briefings and/or updates?

15. This is an opportunity for Dems to shed the "wussie" image -
They're putting themselves in a victim role, so it's time to get all over this shit!!!!

Biden can do it! He can call them on their BULLSHIT in much more forceful terms. It's not that Obama can't -- or shouldn't -- but it's just not HIM. He is cool, calm, reasoned. Biden, on the other hand, can call bullshit with the best of them and, IMO, he should every chance he gets.

Make them the WHINERS and LIARS. It's stating the obvious truth, after all, not sliming which they do.

21. Make an ad questioning McCain's mental/emotional instability.
Hell, the facts are basically out there. His irrational, volcanic temper, etc.

Bring it up in an ad. Suggest, not too subtly, that it would be a dangerous mistake to entrust some batshit, angry, insane person with the ultimate authority to launch a nuclear first strike. Something along those lines.
