So the central strategy of the McCain campaign is "We're Insulted!"
Edited on Wed Sep-10-08 05:29 AM by Phoebe Loosinhouse
That's going to wear out real quick.

NO DEFERENCE to their fake umbrage. Surrogates should say they're sorry MCCain's campaign is so easily hurt and so sensitive.

That wouldn't play on the international stage and it won't play here.

4. I find the McCain campaign insulting
They seem to be catering to people who read at the fifth grade level
I don't need a whole lot of intense research to see through McCain's lies. I feel insulted that the Republicans want to improve conditions in this country, and then put the semi-senile old geezer up as their candidate.

The American people at least deserve a choice between two REAL candidates.

5. Their fweelings are hwurt.
Their fweelings get hwurt all the time! Don't say anything that night hwurt the fweelings of McCain/Palin. It makes some of them get out of the sandbox and go hide in their bedrooms and have Uncle Joe read them briefing books while they cry themselves to sleep.

6. It is working for them, isn't it?
It got the reporters to shut up about her lack of qualifications and Alaska scandals.
Now they have just turned it on Obama and will attack him with it until all the thin skinned people in the country will buy their bull shit.

They have successfully turned the election away from the issues, it all that is talked about by the MEDIA!

7. If we stand fast, it will boomerang and make them look ridiculous.
They are overplaying the card and starting to look silly. Taking offense at a phrase that every single American has heard countless times in multitudes of situations to describe something old or unsucessful dressed up to look new is just asisnine.

It actually makes them look a little weird and paranoid as well as way too sensitive.

8. Apparently. They are in a swoon over there about that "lipstick
on a pig" expression.

Before you know it they will insist that legs be described as "limbs" so as not to send the hankies flapping.

12. No the central strategy is Palin Palin Palin.
Obama's comment was in reference to the last 8 years of GOP rule but they twisted it back on to Palin. Forget about her. Stay on the last 8 years of dismal failure. They don't have a response to that other than to change the subject.

13. The more they rush to her defense over nothing, the weaker they make her look
They are really undermining their own VP candidate.

I think we can walk and chew gum at the same time. We can just devastate McCain on the issues, we can denigrate their campaign for the ridiculous demands for deference and them hiding their VP away from any scrutiny, and we can investigate and reveal multiple issues with the VP - the major one being that she's apparently too insecure to come out of her briefing room.

14.  I think it may be more "Waaah, they're being mean to us" and "Dammit, they are
telling the truth about us. Americans can't handle the truth"
