Actually I worked on a 'Lord's Farm in denmark as a forester.
They had pigs and treated them pretty well. However, the guy in charge
pigs, respected the pigs and showed me what happened when they
were over crowded. I couldn't eat pork after what I saw.

I think pigs are really close to humans more than we are willing to admit.

I've had friends later in life that had them as pets.

Listen, this thread was not an insult to meat eaters, but
