I have met BOTH men and women who switched their support to McCain (Palin) the last few days...
And here are the basic reasons they gave to me-

The men- Palin is a hot VP
The women- Palin is a woman

What makes this even more pathetic-

The men wouldn't vote for her if she was ugly
The women wouldn't vote for her if she was a man

Thank God the poll numbers are looking better, but I truly fear for our country.

2. A friend of mine is looking forward to the Charles Gibson interview w/ Palin
And after she trumpeted that fact, she said, "The wonderful thing about Gibson is that his interveiw techniques are so unbiased."

<sigh>

8. No, they did support Obama
Edited on Tue Sep-09-08 08:55 PM by adoraz
I know them personally. They attended Obama rallies here in Raleigh.

The thing is, they are probably the dumbest people I know. They don't really know much about politics, nor do they care to know. This is what they base their political decisions off of.

12. They supported Obama? Based on what?
I really believe that anyone who would switch from Obama to McCain because of Palin is in immediate need of a mental evaluation.

18. well it all comes down to what you mean by "support"
they were going to vote for Obama, but I wouldn't call them all true supporters.

They are the type of people who don't care at all about politics, nor do they know much about it. They base their decisions on the stupidest things.

For example, I think for the most part they liked Obama because of his speeches and personality, but I really don't think they knew much about his policies.

The thing is, these voters' votes count just as much as ours do. That's what I can't stand.

17. Don't Deceive Yourself
Keep on thinking that and you might as well put your head in the sand.

A woman in my office peeled off an Obama sticker and stuck a McCain/Palin sticker on its place.

If she were already voting against Obama, as you state - why drove around with the sticker for six months?

5. If that is what men think is hot....
it's no wonder I never got married. I don't think it's vain for me to say, I just couldn't compete with women like Palin.

surprised us guys didnt like her seeing as how good looking she was.

14. exactly, these men and women are setting negative stereotypes for all of us
Men vote with their penis, women vote depending on whether or not the candidate has a penis.

It's sad, but it just takes a few to make everyone look bad.

10. It's The Dumbing Down Of America.
I heard the "She's hot" line today.

Don't care about the experience, don't care about judgement, don't care about the future for his kids.

Just a piece of ass.

This is what this person brings to the table. A vagina. Period (no pun intended).

It makes men stupid and apparently makes some woman stupider.

We need TURNOUT TURNOUT TURNOUT!!!!!!!!!!

The best thing to do is keep raising money and registering new voters. Another big Obama speech right now couldn't hurt much either.

Clearly their change of vote required very little provocation. There's a reason their responses are so lame ... it's because they are.
