The Folksy Ignorance Movement or "FIM" for short
This is another aspect of the electorate that we are fighting against.

It basically goes like this....

"Well I don't know what those high fallutin scientists back in Washington say about global warming, but my backyard thermometer says the weather is just fine"

or

"Well I don't know what those silly urban planners say about mass transit and suburban sprawl, but I don't know anybody who wants to ride a train or a bus to work. I'll keep my Caddy, thank you very much."

or

"Well I don't know about what these commentators say about politics and new ideas, but a lot of the old ideas are just fine by me. Good old fashioned American know how is always the best medicine for curing our ills."

These are not necessarily evenagelicals. These are people in every walk of life who believe their homespun values and ideals can stand the test of time, even if they're outdated by decades.

I know Democrats who believe all of the above. This mentality is destroying this country, rotting it from within. It comes from arrogance and a deep attachment to yesteryear.

LIV (Low Information Voter) can't even find Iraq on a map yet they will blovate on Faux News for hours on end about Flag Lapel Pins and "..merika". Combine these FIMs With the FUNDIES and the NIMBYS.. and you have 60% of the American voters. Thats why the elections are so close. (well, it also helps if you can fine-tune the voting machines)

5. They are proud of what they don't know.
And will vote for the ticket that promises them they'll never have to think.
