1. Actually he is right. The current numbers reflect the GOP convention bounce.
By next week, we should have a better idea of where things really stand.

2. Nope, I believe that he is merely stating a fact...
...and the fact of the matter, is that the race is right back where it was before the conventions. Dead even. I believe that once the debates are over, we will see some movement. Dems have more registered voters. The key is getting out the vote. Historically, the more people who vote in any given election, the more Democrats win!

They should be. That's what it's called when a Democrat rises in the polls after the convention.

4. I can't help but be happy.
This is McCain's peak for all year, and the best he can do is tie? No clear, clear leads in any of the major swing states. A lot more red states in play than blue states.

I feel pretty good this morning.
