Actually, on second thought there's really nothing wrong with Palin...
I mean, taking them at their word, Obama and Biden have told me that's she's "a good mom", "good politician", and "has a compelling story".

What's not to like?

=====

In case you don't realize, I was being sarcastic but if you really think about it, that's been the "official message" from the Obama campaign since the day after her announcement. Other than people like us on the "looney left" who actually like to, you know, "research stuff", how would anyone know any different than the MSM/RW media spin?

Think about it.

I took an informal poll in my office here of my ancillary staff. Other than the fact she has a daughter who is 17 and pregnant and a son who has Down's Syndrome, they know exactly nothing about her. None of the "Bridge to Nowhere stuff", the kooky church stuff, the AIP stuff. Nothing.

So who's fault is that?

If the Obama campaign doesn't make it an issue, people will just retain their image of her as a "courageous mom" and "scrappy reformer" as force fed to them by the M$M and the RW lie machine.

=====

So, why am I getting all pissy all of a sudden? Good question.

I guess by now I thought the Obama team would have done the opposition research and have hit her a lot harder than they have. Needless to say, I'm less than satisfied.

=====

"But...but...this isn't about Palin, it's about THE ISSUES"

Yes, just like 2000 and 2004. :eyes:

I'm sorry folks but in a big country like the U.S. that is very well misinformed and overly caught up in reality TV, it is very much about hokem and "personal stories".

"No really, this is all about the ISSUES".

Sure, and Sanjaya Malakar was a great singer.

Folks, I'd like this to be a heady discussion about issues and policy. However, Palin is a scandal pinata that Obama is being too overly cautious to take a whack at.
