The unofficial PCIntern poll of registered Jewish voters who attend my practice in Philadelphia clearly shows that many are suddenly very nervous about the Republican 'Ticket" (ticket to doom, if you ask me). suddenly, those who were 'unsure' (read: I'm a lifelong Dem but have trouble with the black guy because of his possible stand on whatever - you fill in the blank), are not pleased with the selection of a Jews for Jesus gal by Mr. McGoo.
A number of years ago, we had a large J for J center on Chestnut Street, and people were assaulted right on the sidewalk, going to and from their apartment buildings. To the uninitiated: in the old days, and even now, you can be walking down the street and some guy will come up to you if you're male and ask, "Are you Jewish?" because they, being Orthodox, need 10 for a minyan or quota for prayer. These Jews for Jesus 'folks' would walk up to people, ask the question, the response would be honest and they'd frigging follow you down for BLOCKS, until you threatened them or walked into a store. People resented them, and for whatever reason, they finally closed up shop here and moved elsewhere I guess.\
This may help us in FL too...I can only hope...and pray. In fact, I'm going to run to Minyan right now!!!
