Do you think Ron Paul supporters will come to our side?
I belong to a couple of different message boards (some parenting, etc) and there are a lot of Ron Paul supporters there who now are even upset about the RNC (I guess they didn't count all of Ron Paul's votes) and there are still a few people here in Ohio that support Ron Paul. Do you think there is enough supporters to get them to vote Obama or at the least make sure they write in ron paul and that would be taking away votes from McCain?

2. Or maybe they can vote for Bob Barr
Ron Paul certainly does not seem to be encouraging his people to vote for McCain.

5. Well, my husband (a moderate independent) was a Ron Paul supporter and
he's voting for Obama in the GE.

But honestly, I think most Ron Paul supporters will write in RON PAUL on their ballots. Yes, they're throwing away their vote, but I think they're more about making a statement than anything else. And that statement is a great big F-U to the mainstream candidates.

The good news is, McCain won't win their votes either. LOL

7. Nope
and I'm worried they may flock to McCain because their campaign is painting Palin as an outsider.

8. Even IF she is painted an outsider
she is pro-war and AIP. Think those will sit well with Paul supporters?

9. I think Ron Paul supporters
By and large tend to be intelligent people - and they cut through the b.s. in the same way the average DU'er does - at least the few I've come into contact with.

Those folks are just as po'd as we are - but come at it from a different direction and hope for a different end result. We'll have to see - but -

I don't think if they vote their conscience, it would be throwing away their vote.

14. They are pissed by what the republicans did to Paul
I know a hardcore Paul supporter very well and we discuss politics frequently. He absolutely hates McCain and the neocons for the warmongering and what they have done to the economy. He liked McCain in his previous incarnation, but now thinks he has joined the neocons and been assimilated. He tells me that in several states Ron Paul's name is going to be on the ballot listed under the constitution party or other third party. Some Paulites do not really like Barr because they don't trust him. Strangely, many of the Paulites kind of liked the Clinton presidency because the economy was good and there wasn't a lot of warmongering. I think these types may vote Obama. IMO I think that Paulites will split between voting Barr, Obama, and writing in Paul if he isn't on the ballot.

15. Read an article on that ages ago, the answer = no, most will vote 3rd party or the GOP
Though some will vote for the democrats, but under 20%, while under 40% but above 30% will vote for the GOP.
