it'd be a great way to backhand the Gimmick and it's attending scandals without directly addressing it by name.

1. That's very creative...
Yes, it would be great if they would think outside the box like that.

3. Since Obama has been focused on it
and focused on the responsibilities of fathers, perhaps he should just stay at it.

Hillary should focus on the things she's always focused on, women's equality and those who would oppress women. Sarah Palin is the exact kind of woman who has benefited from the women's movement but won't credit those who opened the doors for her.

5. Those old Leave it to Beaver values
We've pretty much left those behind us. Many children, including Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, were raised by hard working single mothers.

6. I don't think Chelsea has any kids, does she? Obama's girls are too young. You misread my post

there's precious little advantage in being an unwed mother (for those who didn't WANT to be a mother).

Or are you of the opinion unwanted pregnancies are desirable?

7. I was drawing on my years of high school teaching
Teen age girls getting knocked up does burden them, their families, and society with unplanned responsibilities--but it's the way things are now. None of the girls I taught ever even considered giving up their child for adoption--they all had fantasies of raising it by themselves in a perfect home.
