There's always a bounce after a convention. Get out there and work.
Obama had a bounce, now McCain has a bounce.
The election is two months away, not tomorrow.

However, I will repeat here what I've told everyone I know that wants Obama to win: if you don't work as much as you can for the next two months and give as much as you can financially (which is different for all of us depending on our circumstances) then come November 5th if there's a President McCain, you're getting what you deserve. And you don't get to complain about it. At all. That's just the reality of it.

Sitting around worrying and discussing polls ad nauseum won't get Obama elected. So, get out there, call, register voters, volunteer at the office, contact the press, go to fundraisers and make sure we take back the White House! GOBAMA!!

Thanks!! :D

1. Amen!
Simple and to the point. The Republicans, even after 8 years of a failed president and even after losing the US House and Senate, were not just going to roll over for an election cycle. They're vicious bastards, but they don't quit.

3. Yes, and it's called a "bounce" for a reason.

It bounces up then comes back down. The crybaby brigage is in full mode right now. And, since when is Willie Whatshisbutt (former Mayor of SF) such an authority on national campaigns? When was the last time he in a national campaign? Oh yeah, never.

4. This is pretty much what I said and got no response. Had I written "it's all over now!'
I am sure it would have 98 responses in two minutes and 30 recs. People want to react, that's all. They don't want to DO anything, just worry and whine. And then there are the people who just want to pick on the worriers and the whiners. I guess that's why the REAL campaign supporters are out there doing it and not in here talking about it.

9. To be fair, McCain's bounce is currently 6 points above Obama's bounce.
And in last night's tracking, it must have been something like McCain +12 to change the tracking poll 5 points in one day (when it's a 3 day average).

I don't put much faith in tracking polls; state polls are better. But tracking polls definately can indicate what impact events have on the race in relative terms, and barring huge statistical noise, McCain's bounce is somewhat bigger than Obama's.
