Every Metric Favors The Democrats
The stock market is tanking...

We are mired in a unpopular war; the surge notwithstanding...It reminds me of the fireman who started fires so he could put them out and be a hero...We wouldn't have needed a surge to give us a temporary reprieve if we didn't invade Iraq in the first place...

Unemployment is up fifty percent under a Republican administration...

Super majorities of Americans think we are on the wrong track...

There are other metrics, of course, but I can't think of them at the time...

If Bush* was running for a third term which he isn't he would be toast but the man who voted with him ninety nine percent, errrrr, ninety five percent of the time is...

That's why they are trying to turn this election into a ersatz rendition of American Idol...That's why they chose Davy Crockett in a dress to be the co standard bearer...

The Republicants are nothing if not resourceful...Will Americans buy their traveling revival/magic elixir road show again?

The next seven weeks should be telling...

1. Those Are Not the Metrics That Matter
The Republicans own all the broadcast and cable networks.
The Repbulicans own all the churches.
The Repbulicans own all the voting machinez.

2. they owned all of that for the last 8 years- press, churches, etc.
and we ran very close in both elections. Average 1 0r 2 percent between the candidates. The demographics have improved, the Rs are running on the record of Bush, the economy is shaky, debt, war, etc.

I think we can close the deal this time.

3. Then How Do You Account For A Democratic Senate And House
It's up to Obama and Biden to define themselves and not let the Republicants define them...

4. I think they're doing a pretty good job defining themselves.
In my opinion.
