Regarding Caging - A caller on Air America suggested
everyone register republican now and then vote how you like. Maybe that way you won't get caged prior to the election, noone will mess with your vote or right to cast it on the day of the election, no official telling you that you need to vote Provisional Ballot which may get tossed out or that you're at the wrong polling place and maybe your vote will be counted.

Is this a way to beat the repugs at their own game? Is this a good idea? or bad idea? I've not experienced any problems in my state as we can register the day we vote, but for the larger cities, etc.......do you think this is something to consider?

just askin........

2. In many states, you do that and you cannot re-register for some x number of years
meaning you won't be able to vote in your own primary the following year(s).

3. We just have to hope that Jennifer Brunner and Gov Strickland won't permit this bullshit this time
She has already issued a directive stating that returned mail is not alone reason enough to remove a voter from the rolls.

By all means we need to keep an eye on this, but I am cautiously optimistic that she will not permit Republicans to steal Ohio.

This is not Ken Blackwell's Ohio anymore.

5. Depends on primaries a lot of the time.. In FL, you have to declare a party
to vote for that party.. Of course you could always change after the GE once you have insured that your vote counts... However, I don't think that would work all that well.. Don't forget, you are cattled in precints.. those precints normally suggest who you are and how you would vote no matter what party you aligned yourself with..
