2. Who is panicking?
Edited on Sun Sep-07-08 12:31 PM by dkf
I was expecting this. And FINALLY Obama has his people hitting on all cylinders. I don't understand why he hasn't organized this blast all the way through the election cycle. If there is one problem I have with Obama, its that he reacts with force to movement against him. But he seems to do this late.

And when I posted my recognition of the downward trend to come, I just got blasted and called a chicken little and was told my analysis was flawed.

3. lots of political life between now and november
The wind is going to change many times over that course. The fundamentals for us look good and we have a better than even chance of winning this election. A good course of action is to send a few more bucks to Obama..

4. I am panicking.
I am also thoroughly appalled and disgusted by how many Americans are bowing at Palin's feet when they know almost nothing about this woman.

I don't think it's possible to underestimate the intelligence of the American people. Bush '04 proved that. And I'm afraid that they're about to prove it again.

7. I can't help my emotions. I'm worried.
We all should be. And it's not McCain that's doing this to me. It's the pro-Palin conversations I'm listening in to at the local hardware store.

11. You can modify your emotions.
It is extremely easy to transform fear into rage.

And they have entirely different motivational effects.

Try it. It feels good to be mad.

16. I wasn't all that worried in 2000 and 2004....and look what we ended up with!
Perhaps right now is a damn GOOD time to be worried! It beats the shit out of complacency...for results.

15. Why would McCain want us to be panicked by Palin? That would produce the opposite result
that his party wants. Or are you suggesting that panic is tantamount to surrender??
:wtf:

22. actually, it's not. Gallup is a 3-day poll
Obama had a good day Wednesday and that just dropped off.

There have been 3 days with McCain holding a 3-4 point lead and that is all this is.

10. it's the extremists that are bowing at her feet, she's just reawakened the zombie nation
and there isn't enough of them to make that much of a difference in contrast of how many new voters are interested this round.

there is no way she will get many, if any, votes from indies or dems. that's just crazy talk.

12. you'll hear pro palin conversatons because
40% of the country are wingnuts..

The Palin pick was a hail mary and caught everyone by surprise. McCain shoots from the hip, Obama doesn't. It will take a week or two of polling, research, etc. for our campaign to figure out an effective strategy. We have the time.

The dust is still flying, lets let it settle down, reset the course if necessary and get down to business..
