Thanks, but I can't claim credit. I picked it up from someone else. I should have examined it better. Just thought it was a good counterargument to the idea that Palin is more experienced than Obama. I find the best defense in these matters is the truth.

Here's the corrected version for you to copy and paste and (hopefully) spread:

2. RW fundies listen up: JC = Community Organizer; Pontius Pilate = mere governor.
I thought this oped was written just for RW fundies:

Ghandi a community organizer, too

Sarah Palin seems to be under the impression that community organizers do little, and achieve even less.

How misinformed. Community organizers have historically been at the leading edge of change, not only in the United States, but around the world. Some of the most prominent community organizers who come to mind include Jane Addams, Saul Alinsky, Tilly Black Bear, César Chávez, Dorothy Day, Mahatma Ghandi, Martin Luther King Jr., Margaret Sanger, Ida B. Wells, Paul Wellstone, and yes, Barack Obama.

But perhaps the community organizer who should be most familiar to Sarah Palin is Jesus Christ. Pontius Pilate, on the other hand, was a mere governor. — Catherine Denial, Galesburg

4. Fact
It is a fact that none of the people running Obama/Biden or McCain/Palin has experience in being President or Vice President. Unless you are an incumbent running these positions are always 'learn on the job' positions. Given that would I rather have somebody with some government 'experience' and a background in Constitutional Law and a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Harvard Law school learning on the job or a man with more government 'experience' who was very near the bottom of his flight school class and admittedly (At least I think he has admitted it) was never very good in school.

Besides isn't the experience question just another way to say Obama is young and McCain is old. Even if Obama had entered politics as soon as he could he still would not be able to have as much 'experience' as McCain simply because of their age difference. Personally I choose the young, energetic, future looking candidate over the old, tired, backward looking candidate everytime.

In the end it is not so much the life experience you bring to the job but your intelligence, ability to adapt and learn the job and the people you put around you. Intelligence, Obama wins hands down. Adapt and learn, since McCain is pushing the same agenda the Republicans have been pushing for 30years I would say Obama wins again. People they appoint, I think all that needs to be said is 'Palin' Obama wins big time.

I'm with you 100% here. I would much rather have someone without the "experience" McCain has, given his record. That kind of experience we have had quite enough of already.

Change isn't 22 years in Washington.

Change isn't a 90-95% record of voting with Bush.

Change isn't the ideals of the generation before mine (and I'm not a young man anymore, 5 years older than Obama). Or even the ideals of mine, for that matter.

And God help us, we Americans desperately need change.
