Palin /McAss LIED, AGAIN!!----This should be at the top of this page forever!!!
Until the MSM picks this up!! This is the real shit, not the personal shit. This is what would make people doubt her, especially at 8:40 into it!! FF to 6:00 & 8:40-- "infiltrate a party". They said she had never been a member, CLEARLY, she was/is.

7. That tape is a game changer. I've been trying to find the list
of candidates for the 2002 Alaska elections when she ran for Lt. Gov. In the tape, when the guy starts talking about how "we finally got one of ours elected" (paraphrasing), something made me think she might have run for office before as an AIP candidate. It's a killer either way and if the media doesn't pick it up and put it on a perpetual loop like Rev. Wright, it's proof they're whores. She belonged to a party that did not want to be part of the United States. Her husband did, too. The tape was posted on youtube almost a year ago, so this isn't anyone's political dirty trick since Palin wasn't even on the screen for VP.

8. They talk about "infiltrating" the major parties.
Is this not exactly what Palin has just done, in spades? Forget her religious wackery and sick family life. How can we be even considering placing a person who advocates the breakup of America in the White House? Are our voters really, truly that insane?

40. How else are you going to get elected to office in Alaska except as a Republican?
Maybe she started as a Repub, then found it beneficial NOT to change her affiliation when she realized that people liked her political skills. Therefore, why rock the boat and announce your true intentions by publicly switching parties? Being a member of the AIP in a staunch Repub stronghold would have killed her career in its tracks.

Someone like Palin will do whatever it takes, because the ends justifies the means.

41. Actually...
Her party registration neither confirms nor denies her affiliation with this secessionist group. In fact, their stated strategy of infiltration would indicate a tendency for "stealth" members NOT to register as AIP party members.

The speaker in the video says that she was a member and is a supporter of AIP. There is no reason not to believe this claim, especially when you couple his statement with Palin's video address to AIP made after she became Governor. It is pro AIP, pro Alaskan, and decidedly lacking in pro USA rhetoric.

46. There's absolutely nothing to prevent an AIP sympathizer from
joining the Republican Party, or a Republican from becoming an AIP sympathizer.

I feared she was a stealth Dominionist. Perhaps this is her REAL stealth plan. Perhaps there is a bit of both.

She is a dangerous nut. McCarthy would have called her "unAmerican". I'm not sure what to call her that doesn't sound reactionary.

32. Ok, just a brief search revealed this, which explains this entirely.
While I was out this afternoon, the McCain campaign released records showing that Sarah Palin was not registered as a member of the Alaska Independence Party, though TPM Muckraker found that her husband was. Now the main source for the story that Sarah Palin was a party member is backing off his earlier claims:

"Dexter Clark, husband of Lynette and a vice chairman of the Alaska Independence Party, said that when his wife told reporters that Palin had been an AIP member she was "acting on information from Mark Chryson," the party's regional chair for Wasilla, Palin's hometown. The 1994 convention was held in Wasilla, where Palin was a city councilmember at the time. Chryson "has repeatedly said to me personally and my wife, Lynette, and groups of party members at large, that at that 1994 convention, Sarah and Todd Palin attended and registered as members," Dexter Clark told Mother Jones.

Asked how Palin could have been a member, when state records did not indicate Palin ever registered as an AIP member, Chyrson, in an interview with Mother Jones, backed off his account. "What could have been the confusion”her husband was a member of the party. He was at the convention. She could have been considered”it might have been thought she was a member then." Talking Points Memo has reported that Todd Palin was a member of the AIP from 1995 to 2002, with the exception of a short period in 2000 when he was undeclared.

Chyrson said he did not remember seeing Sarah Palin at the 1994 convention: "I don't, no. I was working behind the scenes. Back then I was only vaguely familiar with her. I would not have recognized her. I had just met her. I probably would not have recognized her." He added that Sarah Palin did not play "an active role in the party" or to speak out for its causes.

Not being registered as an AIP member did not keep some Alaskans from being supporters of the party and its aims. Jack Coghill, the lieutenant governor of Alaska from 1990 to 1994 and a candidate for governor in 1994 on the AIP ticket, told Mother Jones that being friendly with the AIP and a registered Republican was "common" in the 1990s. Might Palin had had a similar relationship with the party? Given her husband's long-time membership in the group, Palin was likely aware of the group's tenets. And in 2008, as governor, she submitted a welcoming video to the AIP convention in Fairbanks. "Your party plays an important role in our state's politics," she said. "I've always said that competition is so good, and that applies to political parties as well. We have a great promise: to be a self-sufficient state." She closed by saying, "Good luck on a successful and inspiring convention. Keep up the good work, and God bless you.'"

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/09/02/politics/animal/main4409075.shtml

Maybe we don't belive Mr. Clark or Mr. Chryson, but this is all the cover that Palin needs. This story is over unless and until written documentation emerges.

35. Yeah, there's a video, and Clark was the one talking.
He now says his information came from Chryson who based it on faulty information/recollection.

So, yeah, Clark said Palin was an AIP member, but he was misinformed by Chryson who was clearly full of crap.

The state of Alaska keeps records of who belongs to what political party, and Sarah Palin isn't on the list.

Where can this story possibly go?

38. There's another video of Sarah welcoming the 2008 AIP Convention. I guess Alaska is just one
of those states that thinks secession is a pretty cool option. Or at least the Governor thinks so, since she welcomes their diversity and commitment to the Alaska constitution.

Both of these videos deserve circulation. It's obvious that she is sympathetic to these folks and kept her Repuke registration as cover for her gubernatorial run. But hubby Todd was a member of the AIP. Sorta like Barack Obama was a member of Reverend Wright's church. So, Todd must have the same feelings about the secessionist movement since Barack had the same feelings about the U.S.

Right??

Show the videos on the corporate media. Over and over and over again. Make the connections. Let the voters sort it out. This woman is a manipulator and a wild card. She needs to be exposed for that.

47. If she is truly a stealth AIP sympathizer, why on earth would AIP
acknowledge her? It would make more sense for them to deny everything.

FBI needs to investigate her connections. Maybe they need to look at phone records. Since they look at everyone else's, they can just get off their lazy asses and look at hers and Todd's.

58. There's nothing stealthy about her support -- it's out for all to see.
However, it's her membership in AIP that would be damning, not just support of her husband's former political party.

It written documentation or nothing.

... as opposed to something they've started saying since then. Besides, I find it more likely that she was informally a member, absent any formal registration; or that any records have been scrubbed, after the fact.
