Palin repeats her "No thanks" to 'bridge to nowhere" lie.
Usually a politician will drop the lie once called on it. Not Palin.

Palin repeats 'no thanks' bridge account

Palin said she was "surprised" Obama raised the subject, ABC News reported.

"I didn't think he'd want to go there," she said. "Our opponent has requested nearly $1 billion in earmarks in just three years. That's about a million dollars, about a million dollars for every working day."

Palin then repeated a claim she has made often since Republican nominee John McCain announced her as his running mate -- that she "told the Congress thanks but no thanks on that 'Bridge to Nowhere.'" Palin did not mention that she supported the bridge during her campaign for governor, ABC said.

1. Repeating it often enough makes it true
at least in the minds of a significant enough number of voters

3. Obama was right yet again...
They DO think we're stupid.

The MSM needs to call her out on this crap. I can't understand why they're pulling punches on statements that are quite easy to discredit. Maybe they're holding out until they get an ooportunity to actually give her an interview and don't want to ruin any pending opportunities to do so.

6. Network nightly news called McCain on the lie about the jet "she sold it on ebay for a profit
They explained that the jet didn't sell on ebay and eventually sold for a loss.

8. True, but I think she's been largely given a pass...
if any of these factoids had surfaced about Obama, and were so easily verified, you can bet it would be plastered across every major news source.

They're playing softball with her. All that remains to be seen is....why?

13. We Let Them
This is what they do. We blame our candidates instead of the media. They won't stop until we hold them accountable. They are more afraid of the power of the right than they are of us. We have to shake them up.

7. LOL! What an ignorant skank--
Obama's not against earmarks as a rule--that's the only way some important things get funded, and she knows it. SHE is trying to build a reputation of opposing them, after years of begging for them. Caught in a lie--eat it, you nasty piece of shit.

12. Look at per capita earmarks
and she loses big time. Obama's state has many millions of people, while Wasilla has 9000. Obama has requested no earmarks for the current fiscal year, something Obama can't say. And while Palin may have said no to the bridge, she didn't mind keeping the federal money. Where did that money go, Sarah?
