I mean this is a guy who seems genuinely baffled that people are so hostile to our Cowboy Caligula.:eyes:

6. The neocons and the theocons appear to be splitting apart. The neocons
Edited on Sat Sep-06-08 11:15 PM by wienerdoggie
have nutty ideas about American imperialism and Israel's protection, but they tend to like fiscal and bureaucratic competence in government. The religious right theocrats don't care about anything except getting their own into power. Governing--eh. It's all about the Supreme Court. Palin's sudden promotion epitomizes that attitude.

24. I remember when I didn't say "under god" in the Pledge
And I resented it like hell when they made us start doing it. It threw the cadence off, badly.

27. And this gives me an opening for my Myrna Loy story.
Back when Reagan was in office, Loy was on the Merv Griffin show one time. She said: "I can't understand all this Reagan fuss. Why, when I was a girl at home, Republicans had to use the back door!"

She was from Montana. They have a Myrna Loy Theatre there in her honor.

13. Stem cell issue, perhaps?
I had to Google Kondracke and came up with this (sorry for the FUX link):

Kondracke chronicled his wife Milly's struggle with Parkinson’s disease in his 2001 book entitled "Saving Milly." Personally and professionally dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease, he is a member of both the Parkinson's Action Network and the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,1255,00.html

Has Yukon Barbie stated her position on stem cell research? To be honest, I'm not even clear on McCain's. Perhaps he once supported it, but now that he's so far up Dobson's ass he opposes it?

17. They were discussing Katrina. Talking about how they thought it would've gone differently if Jindal
rather than Blanco had been governor when Katrina hit. Barnes said "And then he'd be McCain's running mate." Kondracke:"Instead of this right-wing wacko".

25. He hates her. Made it clear a week ago right after she was announced.
I posted about it here at the time. Kristol was gushing over her and Kondracke told him to shut up; said McCain used poor judgment in picking someone so inexperienced when he's 72 and has had cancer.
