I just don't know of any. Even the best I've heard are erratic--selling out, flip-flopping, always running when called to heel by their masters....

7. Not a slamdunk possibility. Maybe if he went to the DNC I would agree
but he still will probably be favored with Biden as VP.

3. If Max Cleland or Tammy Duckworth aren't interested in Vets' Affairs,
Chuck Hegel would be a good choice. He actually gives a shit about veterans, like Obama and unlike McCain.

6. I selected Eisenhower but that's a cheat since she renounced
National Security Adviser for her, is my guess.

Lugar and Hagel are both real possibilities and I'm totally ok with that.
