I have never been involved in any campaign until 2006 with the Senate campaign of my state. I am involved in the Obama campaign. Bush got me involved. I found DU, thank goodness as I live in SW MO if that tells you anything. All of us (DU members) have watched this country begin it's collapse. We seen it coming years ago. We seen elections snatched from us. We knew about Iraq before it became politically correct that 9/11 had nothing to do with Iraq, (though they are still trying to connect Iraq to 9/11 per 2008 RNC). We are not surprised by the skyrocketing job losses. corporations leaving us at our shores as they embark overseas taking our pensions with them. We are not surprised to see the banks closing. The longer food lines. The higher prices of food and fuel. We are not surprised that GWB is not in jail for war crimes. We are not surprised as we watch the current administration have it's hand in the Georgia-Russia war. We are not surprised by the housing market collapse, the increased homelessness. We are not surprised by the enormous profits of the corporations.
What I will be surprised by is YOU. If you don't knock on one door. If you dont make one phone call. If you don't put a sign in your yard. I will be surprised if you dont make a difference for this campaign. This is it folks, at least that is what I think. This is our last shot, what we have been waiting for. Yes Obama needs to speak up, fight for us. Yes we expect Hillary and Bill to campaign for us,we know Biden will speak out, but WE are the people, WE are the government. Please get involved.
