In the intro to this interview, they stated "He has received many calls, even from the Obama campaign..." WTF? Does he have proof it really was someone from the campaign or perhaps McRove's people acting as though they are from the Obama campaign? Really something smells funny here and it isn't caribou.

other locals: she's more about healines/spotlight than getting anything done.

bridge to nowhere: lyda green-she was for it first (cnn points out that she kept the money for alaska in any case)

inappropriate pressuring to fire monegan--palin aide denies--cnn rebuts

all in all unflattering.

27. Info on the CNN Interview

CNN did an interview with Sarah P's former brother in law about the troopergate scandal. You can read more about that in the other posts. But, in the intro to the piece CNN stated this guy has received a $30,000 offer from one of the tabloids and everyone is calling him including the Obama campaign (that sound fishy as heck to me), but he wanted to talk with CNN, yadda yadda yadda...

If they did, I'm okay with that. I don't want the union being pressured by Republicans into not doing their job.

That sounds a bit more benign, but there are many McRove folks in Alaska right now trying to suppress the troopergate matter until after the election (suppress the more damaging bits, that is).

28. Quick Summary

I didn't see the whole thing but...

They covered the plane/e-bay lie. They said it didn't sell on e-bay. It sold at a loss. And John McCain wasn't truthful when he claimed otherwise in a speech.

They covered the Bridge to nowhere lie. Lydia Green explained that Palin was FOR it before she was against it. And they explained that Alaska kept the money for other projects.

They just did an in-depth piece about Troopergate. Nothing really new here. They interviewed the ex-brother in law who really only was defending himself. Not talking against Palin.

Then they explained that people close to Palin contacted the ex-brother in law's boss 20 times. It ended in way that strongly suggested that Palin's claims of innocence were murky.
