Edited on Sat Sep-06-08 07:36 PM by EffieBlack
why are so many establishment Republicans - high and low - wholeheartedly supporting him?

Who is going to fill the positions in his administration, if not the same old Republicans who have put us in the mess we're in? Or is he planning to hire a bunch of Obama supporters if he wins? Are the Republicans who are falling all over themselves, making idiots of themselves spewing out the McCain campaign's illogical and cynical talking points really just a bunch of idiots that he's using to win the election, but will jettison as soon as the election is over so that he can make a clean sweep of government? Right.

His whole schtick is a crock.

1. The real question is...
if he is such a reformer, why has he not stood a firmer ground in Washington as opposed to voting for Bush 90+% of the time? What is he reforming against? Himself?

He has had 8 years to differentiate himself from Bush in either vision or methodology, he has failed this in almost every way possible.

3. Yes, it is a crock and that's the exact point Obama was making today.

It's ridiculous on it's face.

Even if he wanted to, he couldn't. He can't bring consensus even in his own party without the rabid nutjob Palin.
