Last monday's look at the Electoral Vote COunt at this site was dismal, with Kerry falling about 20 points behind Bush by looking at current polls in states>

THis week has reversed the situation with Kerry nearly as far ahead in the Electoral Vote count as he was before the swift boat commercials.

John Kerry 16 states for 213 EV

Bush 18 states for 157 EV.

12 states too close to call have 151 Electoral Votes

Kerry leads in 3 states with 51 Electoral Votes

Bush leads 5 states for 71 electoral Votes.

3 states are tied for 50 Electoral Votes (Ohio, Pennsylvania and Colorado)

5 states with no polls for 17 EV

2 states likely to go to Kerry for 6 EV

3 states likely to go to Bush with 11 EV.
