An uplifting experience in a waiting room.
Gotta tell ya this. I was SO excited a little bit ago, as I had to go to the doctor for a checkup and was sitting in the office waiting room. Some gal came in and sat down by her husband then began yelling that she "couldn't take any more of it...those people are nuts...why can't they "get it" like the rest of us?"

I listened to her rant to her husband about some radio program she'd just listened to while parking the car. "They're idiots. Absolute idiots! They knock down Obama and Biden, but accept the lies of McCain and fluff of Palin, or whatever her name is! I don't get it!"

Then, the two women across from her joined in and they were agreeing that Obama and Biden were so far superior to the Repugs, how could anyone get excited over McGoo and his coyote...Obama's speech was so much more intelligent than McCain could ever hope to deliver...how can people be so blind...on and on and on.

They asked how long Palin had been governor and I piped up and said, "One month more than Obama has been campaigning." Everyone laughed and the two gals to my left joined in, the couple to my right added their two cents and that waiting room was suddenly alive and rockin' and everybody was agreeing.

I finally said, "I am SO GLAD to see this reaction, as I was afraid people just didn't understand what was going on." Everyone agreed they felt the same way and it felt good to see so many people in agreement. Each hoped that justice would prevail and this administration would be brought before their peers to answer for what they've done to the country and to the world. (That bit of conversation invoked a lot of suggestions on how justice could be meted out, trust me! People are truly angry!)

There were only a couple and an elderly man who didn't join in, but they looked to be in bad shape and probably had no idea an election was in the offing.

Arguing politics probably shouldn't be allowed in a cardiologist's office but we were having fun. One guy (on oxygen) got a little worked up and started coughing, but that was because he was really into it.

Of all times, they called me in on time and I missed a lot of the conversation, but how refreshing and uplifting it was to see so many people excited about Obama and Biden.

Go, O...Go, Joe!
