I apologize to anyone I may have offended with my comments on Edwards...
in regards to his comments about Bush saying "we can't win the war on terrorism". In retrospect, Bush should should be attacked everytime he screws up and this was a dandy. This was the world's largest Flip-Flop...ever! Several of his spokesmen have already come out to clarify what he meant?? It can't be "won" like a conventional war, they say. There are no peace treaties or armistices signed....or some bullshit excuse. We need to hear what George W Bush believes about this issue. He said, the war on terror could not be won. We need to hear it from the horses mouth. Not McClellan or Tommy Thompson or his campaign operatives. We need to hear it from George W Bush. It is important. People are dying in this war. He needs to be clear.

3. "He needs to be clear"
Asking Chimpy to be clear is like asking a carrot to do math.

4. I heard the spin on the radio today
and it was not attributed to anyone in particular. Just that a spokesman for the Bush campaign said "this is what the president meant" with no name attached to be liable for the translation. You are right, we need to hear it from his mouth and not through an "interpretor" who can "provide an acceptable meaning" from the absolute drivel that he usually spews.

As a side note, I wonder if Bush has ADD. Listening to him speak, darting from one thought to another without any coherent or perceivable seq way makes me wonder if he just CAN'T fully focus on any subject long enough to answer a direct question. Especially when challenged or asked something that he has not learned the rote response to. I have a child with ADD and I recognize the pattern here. Fortunately, my son outgrew it and learned to focus long enough to complete a complex sentence when he was about 7. Bush appears to me to be an untreated adult with ADD.

5. The media has reported it - now it's up to the Democrats to keep it alive
That's the way they play the game folks. Ignore the explanation from the Bush spokespeople, and continue to inquire about what his stance is on the war on terrorism? Does he or does he not think we can win it?? We have to keep the heat on Bush personally on this issue until he makes it clear where he stands. He needs to be asked directly. The people are confused with his comments and need clarification. Don't let this issue die a premature death.
