A Prison Cell Like The Ones YOU Approved Of For Today's Gitmo Prisoners, Mr. McCain?
Edited on Fri Sep-05-08 10:46 AM by kpete
McCain: I fell in love with my country when I was a prisoner in someone else's. I loved it not just for the many comforts of life here. I loved it for its decency; for its faith in the wisdom, justice and goodness of its people. I loved it because it was not just a place, but an idea, a cause worth fighting for. I was never the same again. I wasn't my own man anymore. I was my country's.

Regarding - the prison cell:

McCain responded with a serious answer — invoking his time as a prisoner of war in Vietnam. “I spent five and a half years in a prison cell, without — I didn’t have a house, I didn’t have a kitchen table, I didn’t have a table, I didn’t have a chair. And I spent those five and a half years, because — not because I wanted to get a house when I got out,” McCain said.

Do unto others....

Wooden imprisonment crates” used in Iraq by American forces to detain insurgents and terrorist suspects.
