not for the Convention for who, a computer reading of Mein Kampf would have sufficed, nor for the stoic TV audience who I believe they actually tried to lull into forgetting the speech ever happened.

They pick out "salient points" or the biggest applause reactions. They pick out some parts for ads. That is why the speech was so long and vacuous and otherwise such a curious ordeal if it were for the Convention itself. It reminded me of GOP under questioning in committee investigations, rambling on and on to defuse the situation and run out the clock.

The stoic packaging of this shoddy product now begins, from hysterical MSM spin to dogged talking points. So they had better have a big bag of tricks ready to counter the 2006 self-destruct effect that Palin and McLame have singlehandedly brought about already.
