Edited on Fri Sep-05-08 08:03 AM by seabeyond
there are characteristics and this baby has it.

i think that is a natural picture and i wonder about a kid that is not a part of the family and not wanting kids being in love like that with baby.... makes me say, too odd, unless there is that connection. or the kid he presents on his site is bluster, which happens MOST of the time. especially with male and what they think is expected of them

People need to pursue this and not be intimidated by the Republicans.

Unfortunately fellow Dems and many right here on DU seem to be more than willing to acquiesce to the Republicans.

I say screw that. We need to expose those liars.

16. You never see a picture of Todd and Sarah W/ Trig, actually looking at their baby.
Edited on Fri Sep-05-08 07:41 AM by Divernan
I have seen a lot of pictures of Sarah & Todd Palin, w/one of them holding this baby. In every one of the pictures both the Palins are totally focused on the camera - looking right at it with their huge smiles. And I thought how that contrasted with the many pictures I've seen of new parents looking with love at their baby.

The picture in the OP is the kind I was thinking of.

And Sarah's acts in cutting the state budget for disabled kids' programs by OVER SIXTY PER CENT in each of the 2 budgets since she became governor tell you all you need to know about what she thinks of disabled kids. Sarah and Todd are by-god TOUGH! and live for outdoors extreme sports! This feragile little boy will not fit into their family's lifestyle. Generally I believe they have a survival of the fittest attitude. That's why it was so easy for her to take all those risks after her water broke. It's what some doctors refer to as "fundie abortion". Women whose religious beliefs preclude an option of abortion take risks and do not take precautions in hopes they'll lose a baby.

Not only do we not see pictures of the proud "Mom and Dad" looking adoringly at their new bundle of joy, we rarely see Todd even holding Trig.

21. I'd noticed Todd does not hold his son.
Then I learned they were using the baby and his blanket to hide his sister's pregnancy. They don't have to do that anymore. When the boyfriend and all the other relatives were at the airport, the baby was passed on to the middle sister. Again, his alleged dad was not holding him. And you know, when you have such a fragile infant, a good dad would be feeling very protective and would hold the baby.

45. I think he either forgot his part...
...or really wants the truth to come out.

The way some people are trying to spin this reminds me of the scene from the Al Brooks movie The Scout where the psychiatrist shows him a picture of what is clearly a father and son fishing and informs him that his star athlete failed to recognize the picture as father and son and may have deep psychological issues. To downplay it, Brooks says, "Father and son? No, I think that guy looks like a fishing teacher, don't you?"

22. That the weight is after preg weight and she will "miscarry" any day now?
That is what I can't stop myself from thinking. I keep telling myself to stop, but I have noticed how little awareness Palin has toward this fragile little person. When my kids were that small, my husband and I never had other people holding them for long. I was hyper aware...

24. One thing that I noticed was how this little boy was being passed around like a football and prop
and even to the 7 year old sister (or aunt?). While it is wonderful to see a loving involved in the raising of a family member, especially one with Downs syndrome, I as a mother would never allow my infant of 5 months (with or without Downs Syndrome, but particularly with Downs Syndrome) to be passed around like that, especially to a 7 year old. I have noticed Trig is asleep and very limp often. He is unable to hold up his head and while my own 8 year old is very loving, caring and responsible for her age, she could very well drop an infant of that age and so it seems very odd to me as I watch the 7 year old Palin daughter holding Trig so often and Sarah and Todd Palin being so casual about it. Or is it more likely that the teenage mother is the one who is so relaxed about it and why it is happening?

Just an observation of a mother with children.

23. The theory is that Bristol is the actual mother of Trig and is either pregnant again or claiming her
to be pregnant in order to cover up the baby bump remaining from the pregnancy and delivery of Trig.

That baby is cute! But, since I have a little guy myself, perhaps i'm partial.

Either way - I don't think that any of the three of them should have been shoved into the spotlight like this.. that would be Sarah Palin's fault.
