From someone who couldn't stay awake - my take....
I woke up, got some coffee, and flipped around the internet and t.v.

Here's what I've seen:

Joe S. and crew looking very subdued - didn't stay long, it was pretty much a Debbie Downer scene (nice!)

CNN was fact-checking Palin's speech - and it "wasn't all straight talk"

Local news discussed "mansion/middle school" in the background. Called it a gaffe.

Heard an Obama commercial on choice on the radio while showering.

Saw "the Same" commercial while waiting to hear about the "first dude" on GMA.

Blogs are all unimpressed with McCain's "Speech of a Lifetime"

and I saw on Freerepublic this gem:

Donation Charged Twice to My Credit Card
Friday, September 05, 2008 7:06:51 AM · by pleikumud · 7 replies · 120+ views
Has anyone had their credit card hit twice for the same donation to McCain? This just happened to me. The correct one was about a month ago, then they hit me for a duplicate amount at the end of August. I've made a few phone calls, but still have not received a refund. I suspect this is not an isolated event, but something that may have happened to hundreds or even thousands of donors.

Its a good day to be an Obama supporter!

1. Donation Charged Twice?
Maybe that is how the McCain campaign plans on appearing to raise the $100 Million they have challenged themselves with. Double dipping.

Even if they have to give it back, it will take more than a month and the dollar value shows up on their donations sheet and fits a news story.

3. I feel better today, too
The news says McCain was boring and not impressive. Odd that Repubs would be disinterested in someone with gravitas, impressed with a well-groomed amateur.
