VAN HALEN mad at John McCain, VP has a kid named Van Palin?!?

When will JOHN McCAIN learn? The Republican presidential candidate has gotten himself into hot water with another group of rockers, this time VAN HALEN. During last Friday's stump speech in Dayton, Ohio, during which McCain announced Alaska Governor SARAH PALIN as his VP pick, Van Halen's "Right Now" was played for the crowd of 15,000. That didn't sit well with the band, whose publicist released a statement saying, quote, "Permission was not sought or granted nor would it have been given."

By the way, Governor Palin's youngest child is named TRIG PAXSON VAN PALIN, which some news outlets report is the 44-year-old candidate's homage to one of her favorite bands.

McCain has already had run-ins with JOHN MELLENCAMP and JACKSON BROWNE for using their songs in his campaign without permission. Browne, a noted liberal activist, is even suing the Senator for using his song "Running on Empty." Maybe McCain should try using a TED NUGENT song.

7. Somehow I don't think this particular kid will be bothered by
the dumbass name his parents gave him. Sad but true.

6. Old news.
The Browne suit was filed on August 13.

And Nuge said no to McCain. Ted doesn't like John Bush - er, John McCain.
