While I'm naturally pessimistic, I feel the current 'Palin novelty' will wear off by month's end
and will totally be put to death by the time the debates roll around. This is an election about John McCain and George Bush.

Obama has more $$$, a better ground game, is a better campaigner, and has the last 8 years of Bush policy against which to run.

1. I totally agree.
Most people I know (not all Democrats at all) are already sick of her and it hasn't even been that long.

9. Wow. You aren't even trying are you?
This is not how you act like a good little foot soldier for McCain.

Very poor performance.

17. This
isn't what McCain wants. Perhaps you need to run back to freeperville and try to comprehend what you're reading then come back with a nicer message. One that convinces us that McCain truely does want to reach out accross the aisle.

No brownie points for you with this post.

5. It's like a sugar rush...
There's no substance. Just a high and then a crash.

I predict the crash will begin on or around the date of the VP debate. ;)

6. The National Enquirer has it's 'Edwards' team on the ground in Alaska.

It's not going to end very soon.

11. Are you kidding. Go back and listen to her speech again
if you can. It was definitely not one for the ages. It really looks bad now after the fact. If you were miffed when you saw it live, you can only laugh when you see it again. It really wasn't that good at all. It was pure red meat for the base. That's it.

23. Yes, but frankly, I think they're the ones making all the hoopla
Face it-- they have enormous influence. But hopefully people will tire of the non-stories about her that are sure to come fast and furious between now and November... ("Palin Gets Haircut," "Palin Orders Mooseburger," etc.)

13. I'm thinkin that novelty might wear off sooner than that! Every day
there's another weird story about Sarah. Yesterday it was a possible affair with her husband's business partner, and today it was that she attended 5 different colleges in 6 years! If the drip, drip, drip continues, she & John will drown in the pool!

21. I cannot wait for Sarah-Fatigue to set in--for my own sanity.
I have not ever been as tied-up, distracted, and stupidly-engrossed in anything like watching the life-history and odd beliefs and dubious decisions of Sarah Palin unfold over the internets. Over the last, now *six* days, I have checked into DU looing for more information, and her *rich experiences* always deliver some new and interesting tidbit!

I will be out of the country in not quite two weeks--hopefully that spares my mentality just like being away in 2004 spared me all the press around Reagan's demise!
