I CANNOT WAIT for the first SNL of the season!
I think Michael Palin should host -- in Sarah Palin drag.

2. Lorne Michaels is a McCain supporter

Check out newsmeat.com. Expect a very anti Obama bent on SNL this season.

5. Oh good God .. when SNL has been taken over by these thugs
The apocalypse is near.

FUCK LORNE MICHAELS. We need a real-life scenario
from "Studio 60" (forgive me if that's not the REAL
name of the Sorkin series about a fictional SNL) --
a takeover by the REAL CREATIVE PEOPLE, not the
corporate hacks!

8. He gave to McCain 2008
I don't care when he gave it. Do you see an Obama donation anywhere?

9. So if Dodd had won the nomination, we could expexct no candidate bashing?
Maybe he did like McCain, since maybe he thought McCain was a moderate.

But regardless, just because he gave money to McCain does not mean he won't go after McCain. He gave money to Kerry in 2004 and it didn't stop them from hammering him, did it?

11. Get real
He's been donating to McCain over the last 2 decades. They are friends. He donated TWICE in this cycle alone and is currently MAXED OUT. Lorne has always been an odd one politically, his donor records show that, but I have no doubts he wants McCain to win. They're longtime friends and people love to be near people with power.

12. lol
You get real.

What's more important to him, funny, which equals ratings, which equals money, or McCain?

haha, yeah, thought so.

I guess that's why SNL's ratings have been in the tank for the last 10 years. That show is a shadow of what it once was. Or are you 12 years old and only go back to the Chris Farley days?

15. So drive 'em further in the tank?
Their ratings always spike during presidential elections, they're going to slam and mock both candidates.

14. His record is interesting!
$4,300 Republican
$39,150 Democrat
$1,000 Independent
$18,000 special interest
total: $62,450

Mostly Democratic - but then there's that money to McCain. WTF?
