It's started.....Edwards goes after Bush on winning war on terror
Edited on Mon Aug-30-04 01:13 PM by maine_raptor
In speech today, in NC, said to the effect,

"We, John Kerry and I, can win the war on terrorism, George Bush can't."

Just saw clip on CNN.

Hammer that home (Bush's can't win quote) and take the issue away from him. Then what else can Bush run on?

4. Main reason - the Bushies are too pally with the Saudis. . .
who have essentially underwritten the al Qaeda terrorists at all levels, from royal family members and cronies to the angry unemployed Saudi worker on the street.

5. I think its time for K&E
to leak out some of their cabinet choices.I remember in 2000 our Newspaper(ST.Pete times) said one can tell how a president governs and how they treat the peoples concerns by the people they pick to put in their cabinets.

Do you people think Kerry should let slip a few names?

6. Update to the original
Latest word is that Bush's aides are now conceeding that it was "a poor choice of words." This could really, and I mean really backfire on him now.

Kerry and Edwards and all Dems should be shouting this from every rooftop.

Nail him............He doesn't think America can win the War on Terrorists!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

11. YOUR LOOKING AT THE WHOLE BALL OF WAX HERE!!
I'm dead serious. They studied Kerry and saw he built everything around "the Viet Nam/Vet" issue and then they kicked the centerpiece out from under him with the boat ads. Their WHOLE centerpiece is "terror" because Bush can't go near economy/jobs/healthcare/Iraq, etc. So the idea was to find a way to smash their centerpiece. THIS IS THE OPENING WE NEEDED AND IF KERRY DOESN'T PLAY THIS TO DEATH HIS CAMPAIGN NEEDS A KICK IN THE HEAD!!!! This is the headline that replaces the swiftbastards. Oh, and Bloomberg had a stat on from the Gallup poll about two hours ago that said that 61% of the people do NOT believe that we have avoided a terrorist attack since 9/11 because of something Bush has done to protect us---only 31% think he is the 'big man' fending off the terrorists! The apple is ripe....pick it, John, pick it!!!

14. I heard npr talking about it..
just a little while ago. Of course, they were defending Bush's statements as being "sensible" or some such garbage.

Bush wants us to be in this battle the rest of our lives. Sorry, but I don't want my grandchildren learning their colors with a terror alert chart.
