Where the hell is John Kerry?
I am so depressed about these past few weeks, in particular, this weekend's build up for the RNC. Every media outlet fawns over these repugs.... And where has our "WAldo" been? I know, out in Podunk shaking hands... but damn... its as if he's fallen off the media radar. All we see in the media and in the news is what a terrific decisive man Geo. W is.... All these lies repeated over and over again hypnotize the general public- they can repeat word-for-word the campaign rhetoric about the Liar-in-Chief. it's enough to make me turn to vodka....
The only good news was that tremendous demonstration yesterday.
And damn, if the media didn't undermine it. I want to see Kerry on every damn news/talk/bias show... I want him mad as hell and not going to take it anymore. I want him in everyone's face...I want him to stare down Bush, and knock over Cheney. And snarl....

unleash the dogs of War on W, cheney and the repugs.
I wanna see a fight, complete with blood, sweat, tears that's not over until baby bush cries: UNcle dick!

4. It's customary to lay low during your opponent's convention.

10. Interesting.
I hope that doesn't trigger the usual media nonsense.

6. It is critically imprtant that we blame Kerry for the corporate media bias
towards Bush.

We also have to spend a lot of energy demanding that Kerry take no days off, and gets no rest.

7. Sucks that the media is now State run.......reminds me of Pravda
whoring for the corrupt bureaucrats who were running the Soviet Union in the 70s. Ultimately, though, the lies caught up with them.

8. Doing what he should be doing. We'll se who carries the ball
for him. Will we have a week of soldiers reporting for duty? Or will we have a week of George Mitchellesque sweettalk of Bob Dole. Jane harmon's nodding as Pat Roberts tears Kerry a new one, or Joe Biden using up valuable seconds by bringing up the notion that bush is likable, instead of bringing up another Kerry talking point.

18. There is tradition and then there is Tradition... Kentucky style
I want to see Kerry and Edwards start throwing elbows. Hard, fast and repeatedly. I want to see them play a fast break defense that leaves Rove & Co. bending over and pulling on their gym shorts. I'd like to see a little of Bush's blood, a few loose teeth and a signal to the bench for a substitute. This is the NCAA march to the Final Four and you can rest off season. I know Kerry needs a "blow" but we can not concede the air waves and the media over to the repugs' propaganda a day, much less a week.

Can you tell I like college basketball - the old fashion way?!

11. It also has something to do with timing...
Our nominee accepted the nomination a full month before theirs. Crudely put it means we had to stop raising money a full month before they did.

We don't want to spend all our money before they spend theirs.

But I think democrates are going to have to take over the national media if they ever want to take back congress again.

13. Nantucket
http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/nationworld/2002019863_cdig30.html

This week, while the president campaigns through battleground states and accepts the Republican Party nomination Thursday in New York City, Kerry has a quieter agenda. He'll kite-surf the Nantucket Sound breezes, ride his $6,000, U.S.-made racing bicycle and dine with wife Teresa Heinz Kerry at restaurants in this old whaling port.

14. Yet another world is coming to an end thread.....
I was just at his rally this past Saturday in Tacoma. Let me tell you the crowds were completely packed. Now the Republican Convention has started and it's time for him to lay low. Let the other party members do the talking for now. Don't forget the massive protests in NY city. We should be proud of the work they are doing....

Is it labor day yet?

In the meantime, Kerry and Edwards are indeed out and about. . .they just don't show it on TV so much.

17. Kerry traveled from Seattle to Nantucket last night where he will lay low
http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/nationworld/2002019863_cdig30.html

NANTUCKET, Mass. — John Kerry reached his island retreat at 2 a.m. local time yesterday, after taking a red-eye flight from Seattle on his campaign jet, for a week of ceding the political spotlight to President Bush.

Bush did the same for Kerry during the Democratic convention in Boston, staying largely out of sight at his Texas ranch.

Kerry's sole campaign outing will be a trip to Nashville to address the American Legion national convention Wednesday. Bush will be there tomorrow.

Aides to Kerry describe the stay as a "working vacation" because he'll get daily staff briefings on policy and will work on speeches.

Which is more than fine by me! The guy needs a break, did you hear how hoarse his voice was even on the Daily Show?

Since when has this campaign played by the rules?
Too many low blows already....
NOt that Kerry shouldn't rest, but damn, send out the troops...;

22. Remember the media filter.
If Kerry doesn't lie low, the media will crucify him for not respecting tradition.

What more can they do? There should be a Kerry presence on every one of these lame panels that will be on every stupid news show this week.
