Palin cancels publicTampa appearence Monday.
It was a sidebar in today's St Pete Times - sorry no link. I assume the campaign is also cancelling other public appearences by her, in addition to mcgramps. That makes me wonder though, could the campaign really try to avoid public appearances between now and Nov? Or will they be staged and screened events for the true believers? Or are they just stalling as long as possible? I don't think a pissing match is advisable when your opponent buys ink by the barrell...

1. I couldn't bear to watch her last night but the snippits I've seen

she sounds really bitter and nasty - not just "feisty" but downright hateful. I can't imagine they want this paraded around. And can it even be fixed? Being hateful is a character trait.

26. Nasty, ARROGANT beyond belief, hateful, derisive,
smugly superior........the list goes on. It was all of that and more.

She MOCKED community organizers. So McSame had to cancel his appearance at a Habitat for Humanity event today. Apparently he got uninvited.

The part about McCain being uninvited to a Habitat event? I find that *very* interesting indeed:)

I see the posts about him canceling, but I didn't see any that definitely said that Habitat had actually canceled him. I'll go back and look again:)

5. McSame also canceled Habitat for Humanity per another poster.
Could they be already getting ready for her to withdraw or are they just avoiding letting her face press questions?

Could be it's nothing more than a massively disorganized McLame campaign.

15. Public appearances = campaigning
Avoiding the press is one thing, avoiding the voters is another entirely.

How do you run for election without campaigning?

Hmm.. probably connected to the NE stories being published.

17. Hmm, I wonder if it has something to do with the National Enquirer story...
Wonder if Pit Bull Palin 'fessed up? Or is to avoid questions from reporters? Or is it to isolate
her so she can't answer questions as to why she has claimed "executive privilege" to avoid
being deposed in Troopergate (the deposition was scheduled for early this month).

Is something else coming, or are their internal polls showing McCain has made a gross miscalculation?

31. cowards
McCain cancels his Habitat for Humanity appearance (don't want to be seen with those community activists), rearranges the convention center to make it look like a town meeting (translation: get the audience up close so they can't show the empty seats), Palin won't appear in the state state as Senator Clinton and says she won't answer questions during the VP debate - WHAT ARE THEY AFRAID OF?

The bloom is going to come off that rose very quickly. I'm sure as soon as soon as they can get some events with the above in place they'll start having them again.. and they'll use them to illustrate how they aren't avoiding the press or open questions in the least. Such a big change and breath of fresh air.. W would never think of doing anything like this.
