Nixon hid drinking:Bush also hiding it now?
Edited on Mon Aug-30-04 10:30 AM by oscar111
No press reported any of Nixon's heavy drinking during the last months of his rule, as best as i can recall. Came out later on in reminiscences.

Bush takes forty percent of time for vacation, great time to hide long binge wallows in the gutter.

How did nixon hide it? What ought Kerry aides look for in bush to reveal that it is going on now, if it is?

would be great campaign issue.

4. He doesn't act drunk
I don't think. But he does kind of act like he might be on depression medication - that slowness in forming answers is typical of people taking Xanax or other stuff like that.

8. Not all alkies act drunk - they can "function" to a certain extent
in their day to day chores. They do tend to have trouble with their with short term memory and speech and are accident prone, but they do not appear to be stumbling, sloppy drunks.

5. A rumor about Bush drinking
I live near DC, and my hairdresser says one of her friends at church works in the White House. The pretzel incident happened while Bush was drinking. Apparently he and Laura have fought over his drinking; once she threw a lamp at him.

Anybody else have any third-hand rumors to pass along?

7. Is it true that Rove and co
are going to put up a competitive website called

Saloon?

Not only will it have that Texas tea quality to it, but all the actors will have fake frawls, just like the president.

9. "looks like another binge starting, schedule a 2 wk.vacation at the ranch"
Edited on Mon Aug-30-04 11:58 AM by oscar111
that is what i imagine happens as Cheney watches bush start a new binge.

over and over again.

Till binge-vacations have consumed 40% of his presidency.

PS i bet the debates are cancelled by rove.

10. How can they cancel the debates?
That would look like Bush was a coward - afraid he couldn't keep up.

But that might be better than having him actually mess up royally.

11. Who's gonna tell King George II that he can't have a drink?
Who's gonna make the President put it down when he doesn't want to?

It sure would explain a lot. I know I'd have an easier time repeating idiotic stump speeches before the world if I was shitfaced.
