National Enquirer Affair Scandal: not Edwards....Palin
http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2008/09/03/politics/fromtheroad/entry4413030.shtml

John McCain’s campaign threatened legal action against the National Enquirer today for running a story about McCain’s running mate, Sarah Palin, allegedly having an affair with her husband’s business partner.

2. The GOP don't play fair. They were happy to have Edwards displayed all over the place
it would appear there are rules for one and not the other.

ENQURIER RESPONDS TO MCCAIN/PALIN
Wed Sep 03 2008 18:19:21 ET

"The National Enquirer's coverage of a vicious war within Sarah Palin's extended family includes several newsworthy revelations, including the resulting incredible charge of an affair plus details of family strife when the Governor's daughter revealed her pregnancy. Following our John Edwards' exclusives, our political reporting has obviously proven to be more detail-oriented than the McCain campaign's vetting process. Despite the McCain camp's attempts to control press coverage they find unfavorable, The Enquirer will continue to pursue news on both sides of the political spectrum."

12. It's there - the cover of the current issue is on the upper right of their homepage.
It's a bit hard to read there, but the cover has been shown on multiple websites. Try Huff.Post.

10. I'm SURE the Enquirer isn't worried about a threat! I think they get
at least one new lawsuit every week! Remember, lawsuits go NOWHERE if what's published is THE TRUTH!

16. Does anyone know when the affair was supposed to have occurred? Heck, McCain had affair with Cindy,
but it was apparently too long ago to be considered "relevant".
