Using Boy Scouts as political pawns
So I am flipping through the channels this AM, and the opening ceremony for the 'thug convention had a group of about 8 boy scouts doing a flag honor guard procession onto the stage.

With everything that the Boy Scouts have been through (gay position) you'd think they would step back from further politization (is that a word?) and controversy.

I guess it cements their real position.

Sad.

1. They're not having to hide it now
Next thing you know they'll be raising Confederate flags and give up all pretenses...

2. That's why
I refused to allow my boys to be boy scouts. I explained to them why, that if they excluded people for who they are, then they won't be including my sons because of who they are and what we as a family believe. My boys were perfectly fine with that. Besides, there are far better groups for them to join.

4. I'm right there with you...
I didn't let my son join for the same reasons...he was cool with it...

Having Boy Scouts at the Rethug convention just cements that I made the correct decision...

3. Boy Scouts involved in Wheeling
Several local news stories over the weekend about Boy Scout troops involved in making signs, and decorating the Wheeling arena in preparation for the Shrub's appearance.
WTF? :shrug::shrug:

5. Scouting is the Hitlet Youth/Young Pioneers (reds) of the 21st Century
They are thoroughly in control of the religious right, and I have nothing to do with them. Fortunately, my nine-year old has quit asking about it.
