If an undecided voter watched Obama's and Palin's speeches,
how could that person not see the better choice, Barak Obama that is?

1. Choice is between Obama and McCain.

2. Ah-ha. Good catch. GOP strategy is working. Making it Palin v. Obama instead of old guy v.Obama.

3. They are trying to lower Obama, diminish him. Got to keep in mind
that Biden is her counterpart--I think we tend to keep equating Obama and Miss Mooseburgers because they're closer in age and newer/shinier.

4. My point was that she is 1/2 of a bad choice. But, if you were truly
undecided those speeches have to sway you towards one party.

P.S. I won't lower him to her level again.

6. Very True! But...
Agreed! However, in my personal experience, Palin's speech HAS had an effect on the Presidential choice of undecideds.

Case in point - my mother. She has long been a Republican - Reagan, Bush Sr., Bush Jr., etc. However, she has been disappointed in the Republicans and Bush Administration the last couple of years and was not 100% sure she was going to support McCain this time. I talked to her earlier today and she was "excited" about Palin. She was practically giddy, excited to watch the speech tonight and said to me "I like her, don't you?" "I can't wait to see her speech tonight!". Blech.

Anyway, she called me immediately after the speech and was completely disgusted. She said that speech was the turning point for her. She was leaning toward McCain and was even excited about Palin and thought she was going to vote for them. Palin's speech completely turned her off. She said "there is NO WAY I am giving my vote to them now - that is not the refreshing change and positive outlook I have been hoping for". She said "I have to say, I like Obama more and more and I believe I will be voting for Obama this year. " At the very least, she will not vote at all - but I'm pretty confident my mom will vote Democrat this year - for the first time in 28 years.

That being said - I do agree with you that she is FAR beneath Obama and we don't need to lower him to her level.

;-)

5. The fact that they are undecided up to this moment may clue you in.
