Sarah Palin - psychopath
Edited on Thu Sep-04-08 12:21 AM by lamprey
I wrote this a day ago, but was a bit embarrassed. Came out sounding over the top. I am posting it now, post her RNC speech. The one new thing that came out of that was a trademark Dubya smirk.

First, forgive the pretentious exposition. I can't help - Law school screwed my writing forever. I envy The Magistrate ..

Second, the Palins, Sarah and Todd work as a team. I think of them as Palin. I use the feminine because she the front lady. Who has the final say is anyone's guess, but if I was Todd, I'd by watching my back. Our barracuda is an infant great white shark.

Third, this is not a "downer" post. Before Palin was announced VP, McCain was going down, and Palin, if anything, will hasten his demise. What I want to say is this: We are truly blessed (yes I am a Christian) to have Palin emerge on the National Stage so early in her career, at the least opportune time for success, when the forces opposing her are at their zenith. Only her insane lust for power could have prompted her to make a move so early. And that's the key:

Unlike Democrats, Republicans get more than one shot at power if they're good enough. Think Nixon and Reagan. This is the time, this is the moment, to quote Obama, to mortally wound her politically. I have no doubt that David Axelrods team, and Hillary's (including the DLC), are working on it, and here's why.

Palin is not a Christian Social Conservative, any more than Pol Pot was a communist. She's an extremist period. I've seen posts here saying shes either stupid stupid or just cynical. She's neither. She's not GWB either: There's the critical difference between a sociopath and a psychopath. She believes it, will do all her power to implement her year zero agenda. How far will she go?: She told her children about the VP announcement one hour before hand, with no regard for her eldest daughter - That's how far.

Here's what we know about Palin - she's

- an extremist
- willfully ignorant
- aggressive
- cunning
- ruthless
- a political assassin
- tolerates no dissent
- silences opposition
- demands total loyalty
- suppresses freedom of expression
- shamelessly rewrites history
- documents scrubbed
- vindictive (to the point of pettiness)
- something of a loner
- has an enormous appetite for power
- no respect for institutional restrictions.

All politicians have some or all of these elements in their makeup. Palin has them to the nth degree. IMO only scrutiny of her office restrains her: She's a would be dictator. But when you combine this with a deep conviction of your righteous cause, your left with something more like the monsters of history. Palin's reminds me of Joseph Stalin. The same appetite for blood, and perhaps the same paranoia.

I may be wrong - I maybe I am, but I doubt we will have a chance to find out. A scandal or two a day for someone who is unvetted might be expected. We are getting a new sensation almost every two hours. I believe Palin is a treat to the Republic, and that she's is being taken out 'even as we speak'.

END

After seeing her speech, I stand by every word. She must be taken out of national politics now. Once and for all.

One more thing. The mistake people always make about the monsters of history goes something like this : She couldn't really believe it (yes she does); she really can't be serious (yes she is); she really must be stupid, or a stooge (no she's not); she really wouldn't do it (yes she would).

Title edited for clarity.

1. Agreed--she really thinks she's qualified to be President. She has no doubts.
And the nutcase powers behind her are going to ride her pretty hockey mom image as far as they can. Frightening.

26. Maybe she will be ambushed?
Plenty of stuff on her already. This National Enquirer story may have legs and be huge. Look what a similar thing did to Edwards.

With her horrible view towards the environment, green and the animals, Vice President Gore will have HORDES of followers ready to join the cause against SARAH, THE DESPOT.

LIKE OTHER DESPOTS, Sarah will be taken down.

Maybe it will come from her own family.

15. The Friendly Face of Fascism.
I agree with your assessment. A couple minutes into her speech, I thought to myself "that woman is a fucking psychopath". She will smile to your face and stab you in the back, without batting an eyelash. I'm not sure she can be mortally wounded however - like Nixon and Cheney et al, they seem to somehow re-arise like zombies to infect the political landscape again. What can be done is to wound her enough to lay low for awhile, and hope she finds enough trouble during the interim that precludes her from public office.

she seems to have fired up the Repbulican base in a way McCain couldn't do. She may also fire up the Democratic base (and some independants) - against her.

McCain has almost made himself irrelevant.

25. right-O
Psychopathology is an umbrella field under which, the more specific narcissistic personality disorder falls. Undeniably, she belong in both. "Appearing normal" and superior at the same time, and always concentrating on 'self'-- pretty much describes 'em.

I didn't mean to be redundant. Just thought you might like to add it, that's all.

... where Bush was a panderer, in large part, to the religious fundies, Palin is one of those to whom he pandered, a true believer.

34. I cannot agree with you more
One of my most cherished friends is also one of my oldest colleagues, and we have endured psychopaths of both genders over the course of our careers.

At her first appearance we both disliked Sarah Palin, and not simply because she is a Republican, and her nomination such a cynical ploy. We recognized her. We knew her type. Each new revelation and every quote from her past confirmed our suspicions, and we named her. There is no question in our minds that she is a ruthless, power-hungry megalomaniac who lies and backstabs and blackmails to get what she wants. We know. We have worked with many Sarahs. She may have had different names; she may have aspired to different goals; but she has always been a monster, and can never be trusted.

I have said it before, but allow me repeat that John McCain is nothing more to Palin and her evangelical backers than a tired old Trojan horse that will smuggle her into the White House. They do not care about the state of his health - in fact, the sicker the better. They do not want him to last even four years. The only question in my mind is whether they will wait for God to call him home, or arrange the meeting themselves. He should be a very, very worried man.

b***h, w***e, c**t, and every other badass name you can throw at her.

Forgive me, please, sisters.

I can't help it.

My main concern is the reality of REAL PEOPLE, not the asshattery of the Pukes.

I thought I had exhausted my bundle of anger with Bushco, but thanks to Sarah Failin, well, I've tapped into an entire new supply of it.

Gaed, how I hate these people! :nuke: :grr: :nuke: :grr: :nuke:
