27. Realize that we are listening to the Corporate Media. Nobody respects the peasantry.
Their biggest mistake is to underestimate us when it comes to this upcoming election. You can STEAL an election that's close.

Ladies and Gentlemen, all of America's corrupt pollsters, journalists and politicians can NOT make McSame and his Librarian electable. ;)

7. If Rachel says roughly the same thing then I'm inclined to think that her speech must not have sucke
as much as some here think. I didn't watch it, so I can't say.

It was all Pre-written before she was even chosen (according to andre mitchell)

She was just speaking the words.

11. He qualified it...
We can't deny that. What Chris Mathews is saying is true. That is what it will come down to. Will the undecideds go for these cheap shots and half truths that appear to be "policy".

They really don't have "policy" all they had was fear: Fear of "terrorist" and Fear of "tax and spend liberals".

Will America buy it? We have to make sure that they don't!

It was terrible, wasn't even hers. Garbage all around. He'll probably try and pick away at it as the night goes on.

16. Keith was correct. She did well, as cynically scripted.
She spoke the lines assigned to her by the RNC operatives, smearing her opponents without regard for any facts and not at all bothered by that.

Brazen as the best of those liars.

She did the weepy "Grampy The Soldier won't let us down" stuff very well too. Total lies, well delivered.

21. It was a great speech. Not sure how you can say different. I don't agree with it of course...
but it clearly was at the upper end of what anyone would have possibly expected from her. She knows how to deliver lines, she can deliver jokes, and she doesn't talk over the crowd - she uses them.

23. I don't agree, but what do I know?
It seemed to me that it was an excuse to list names and bash people from the Democratic Party. At least that's what happened after she spent the first 30 minutes telling her life story and introducing her family.

It may have reached the base, but it was not a good speech. It was griping read off a teleprompter.

26. From what I've heard
Edited on Wed Sep-03-08 10:32 PM by mvd
Things that were wrong with the speech:

That snark can't pass for good humor
That she said the same lies, not as well as Ghouliani
That she did nothing to make herself worthy of sympathy
That droll and drawn out delivery can't substitute for good delivery

Doesn't sound like a success to me. How can she make herself known while being an attack dog?

eats this stuff up!!! All I can say is.... HERE WE GO AGAIN! They will back this person and follow along with ANYTHING their party says, no matter what, no matter how and NO MATTER what it costs this country!!

All the younger generation that has showed so much enthusiasm and energy for Obama HAD BETTER GET OUT and VOTE... or WE WILL GET IT AGAIN!

Playing nice just DOES NOT win America over... go for jugular and they go WILD! If it's THEM AGAIN, I actually think I want to get the hell out of here! It's just TOOOOOOO much to take ALL OVER AGAIN!!!

I'm not so cynical. I believe that people really want to hear how these politicians can help make their lives better. Sarah Palin was just "more of the same." With all that's coming out on her, she needed to be more than an attack dog with tepid PTA lines.
